Arts in the Community
The Cultural Master Plan clearly indicates the desire of area residents to have equitable access to arts and cultural experiences in neighborhoods and communities throughout the Greater Birmingham region. Neighborhood cultural resources are important initial contacts for people of all ages, especially children, in comfortable and easily accessible surroundings. They can also provide valuable activities for children who might otherwise have little positive to do with their time.
