The Cultural Alliance believes having a strong base of artists living and working in our community enriches the lives of all citizens and fuels a dynamic economy. Grants to Individual Artists (GIA) support committed, accomplished artists by financially supporting the advancement of their careers as professional artists.
With regret, the GIA program was suspended in 2010. The Cultural Alliance remains committed to supporting, nurturing and promoting working artists and will resume the GIA program as soon as funds are available.

Jefferson County Community Arts Fund
In December 2004, the Jefferson County Commission established the Jefferson County Community Arts Fund (JCCAF) to be administered by the Cultural Alliance using a process that incorporated national best practices in distributing public funds to arts and cultural organizations.
Over three years, 227 funding awards totaling $14,279,185 were made to 75 Jefferson County-based organizations that integrated arts and cultural activities into the lives of all County residents.
All JCCAF funds have been awarded. The FY08 budget approved by the Jefferson County Commission did not include any funds for JCCAF.
